The Albany is a unique arts venue that provides a platform for local and marginalised voices whilst reaching wide audiences. We believe everyone should have access to the arts. To continue to provide high quality arts experiences for the communities of South East London and beyond, we need your support.

Did you know that we are a registered charity? We rely on the generous support of individuals, Trusts and Foundations as well as corporate and statutory sponsors. Your donations help us to bring the very best live performances to the Albany, develop our Young People’s programme, keep improving our building to make our facilities welcoming and accessible, and to create exciting work with our Associate Artists, Resident companies and all our other local partners.

Here are some examples of how we could spend your money:

£20 – Sponsor an artist seedling

£20 will pay for a young person to attend a specialised training workshop with one of our Resident artists and gain a unique first-hand experience with a creative industry professional – an opportunity for the benefit of emerging young talents who would not otherwise have access to these opportunities.

£50 – Nurture a growing community

£50 - £100 will enable our community groups to continue to enjoy subsidised room rates for a whole day. They will also have access to our community garden, café and shared facilities.

£100 – Support a blossoming bud

£100 will enable our Associate and Resident Artists to provide an intense week-long Summer Arts course in the Albany as part of our youth programme.

£500 – Plant some firm roots

£500 will contribute towards the refurbishment of the Albany’s digital facilities in order to root us firmly in technological advancements and ensure we remain a cutting-edge arts centre for the 21st Century, with spaces that the whole community can enjoy.

Every year at the Albany:

Over 28,000 people enjoy a range of over 300 events

200 community groups use our subsidised space, with over 3,000 workshops on offer

Over 40,000 people benefit from educational courses and participatory events

1000s of under 7s enjoy our Family Sundays and 1000s of 13-25 year olds benefit from our young peoples programme
