Polarbear
Polarbear is a writer from Birmingham who has been speaking his work on stages since Glastonbury 2005. Raised on a diet of hip-hop, Maradona and Bukowski, he writes rhythmical stories from a no-nonsense perspective.
His work has been broadcast on BBC Radio 1, 3 and 4 as well as 6Music and his writing/performance style has lead to regular work with young people as creative writing and stage mentor.
His performance piece ‘If I Cover My Nose You Can’t See Me’ closed The London Literature Festival 2008 and toured the UK. His new piece ‘RETURN’ will commence a four-week run at Battersea Arts Centre in March 2010 with tour to follow.
