Hackney-born teenagers Marie and Boo take us on a raw and funny journey through 'chatting shit, getting fucked, getting high and doing all the crimes that be going down in the yard'.

They are 'best mates from time' but things start to go wrong when their loyalty to each other is tested by the destructive reality of the streets.

 

Rebbecca Prichard won a Critics' Circle Most Promising Playwright Award for this insider female perspective of the gangland streets of north east London.

Yard Girl Forum Theatre Remix - FREE!

Stay after the show and join the group from this afternoon's Forum Theatre Masterclass, as they present a piece of interactive forum theatre created in response to Yard Gal. Participants will have completed a one-day workshop with Adrian Jackson, founder and artistic director of Cardboard Citizens, leading UK practitioners of Theatre of the Oppressed. This is a unique way to give your feedback to the show’s themes by stopping, pausing and rewriting character’s choices, to explore the challenges they face.
