Featuring 11 star soloists and a six-piece piece band, this is a spectacular show in the grand tradition of Nigerian music.
The massively popular and inspiring Yoruba Women Choir, led by Funmi Olawumi and Bola Are, prove gospel is still a force to be reckoned with by fusing church songs with popular songs by the likes of King Sunny Ade, Chief Ebenezer Obey and Fela Kuti, presenting them in the Yoruba tradition.
The leader of this extraordinary vocal powerhouse, Bola Are has been a household name in Nigeria for over 25 years and has released over 50 recordings. Bola Are has transformed the choir into a national treasure - it is to Nigeria what The South African Gospel Singers is to South Africa and The Harlem Gospel Choir is to America.

The 8th London African Music Festival is a vibrant mix of concerts, unique collaborations, free performances and workshops taking place featuring artists from 23 countries. This year's festival will take place across London in 6 venues - Southbank Centre, the Albany, Bloomsbury Theatre, Jazz Café, Richmix and Stratford Circus.
