Set across continents and eras, My Father and Other Superheroes follows one man's struggle to come to terms with the responsibilities of being a parent and his confrontation with his own father's absence. Follow Nick's journey as he discovers what it takes for a man to become a hero, and how a hero can be just a man.

Nick Makoha is a dynamic writer who was born in Uganda and currently resides in London. He is one of ten contemporary poets in the UK to have been selected for Spread the Word’s Complete Works programme. He has also completed projects with Spokelab, Theatre Royal Stratford East and the Tate Modern, and is the Director of the Youth Poetry Network, facilitating workshops to inspire young people.
