Shadow Boxing
The story of defiance in a quest for dignity and respect, Shadow Boxing pulls no punches in its depiction of a boxer facing his toughest opponents yet, his personal demons.
The son of a boxer who couldn't win, Flynn is determined not to end up like his father. He becomes a successful fighter through utter dedication. But is his gruelling training a way of avoiding aspects of himself he'd rather not face? A crisis builds as he moves closer to a title fight and the play hurtles towards a shattering conclusion.
Shadow Boxing is a fast-paced and physically intense performance, expertly written by James Gaddas, where prize fighter Flynn takes the audience on a highly emotional journey from the confines of his claustrophobic and gritty boxing gym.
A hit at the Edinburgh Festival, Shadow Boxing is hot off the heels of the Brits Off Broadway Festival in New York.
