Projects & Courses
Listed below are all the activities currently on offer in our venue. This includes workshops and activites from the Albany, our partner organisations as well as local groups using our spaces.
A Cure for Ageing
A piece about being young and foolish, and becoming old and wise. Or about being young and wise, and becoming old and foolish. It asks how we can talk more honestly about ageing, drawing together true personal accounts and shameless speculation in a celebration of life and an attempt to fall in love with our own decline.
Afrovibes - Choral Masterclass
This two-part masterclass will bring together live vocal experimentation, beatbox-looping and choral singing to explore contemporary song and re-mix classics. No experience is necessary but a keen interest in singing and sound is a must.
Hugless Douglas is a huggable, lovable young brown bear who wakes up one morning in need of a hug.
He tries to find the perfect one, but none of them seem quite right. After all, there are so many different hugs to choose from.
But Douglas soon discovers that there’s only one hug that will do - a big bear hug from his mum!
Belly Dancing Workshop
Lebanese born Maria Louisa hosts her 2 hour workshops at the Albany. The groups are designed for ladies of all ages from beginners to experts with the focus on fun and fitness in true Middle Eastern style!
Meet Me at the Albany
Arts activities, lunch and much, much more for the over 60s at the Albany. Pop in for some lunch and try your hand at a range of creative activities from singing to sewing, from circus to photography. Join in, sit back and watch or put your feet up and enjoy the company. Everything is possible.
We're Going on a Bear Hunt
A family go on an expedition of a lifetime – running down the grassy bank, wading through the cold river, squelching over the oozy mud, stumbling into the dark forest, then peering into a cave… what will they find?
