Destination Deptford

Deptford is a vibrant, creative, diverse and fast-changing destination. The Albany has been part of the community since 1894 and we pride ourselves on being a local landmark. Come on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday and you’ll find us at the heart of Deptford market which has been a part of the high street for centuries (you can also pick up a bargain or two).

‘In recent years Deptford and its southern extension, New Cross… have been experiencing something of a renaissance with the advent of music studios and shops, art galleries, the celebrated Laban dance institute and other cultural centres and creative outlets.’

Lonely Planet

‘A boisterous concoction of blue-collar aesthetics and intermittent hipsterism... (with) the most heady of urban ingredients: an edge.'

New York Times
