Join Story Jam at their new monthly residency for nights of wild and wonderful stand-up storytelling. Expect tales as old as the hills and bang up-to-date, told every-which-way. From the Arctic to the Antipodes, epic to everyday and profound, pin back your ears, raise your glass and get stuck in to Story Jam.
Hosted by Lucy Lill and Alys Torrance, South London’s popular longstanding night takes up residence as part of the Albany programme at Canada Water Culture Space.
Thursday 8 June, 7.30pm: Beating the Bounds
Where are we now? What have we here? What has gone before us in this old-and-new place? Merchants and money, docks and ducks, tides and tribes – we’ve got stories for you that dance on the boundaries between fact and fable. Join us as we begin our residency at Canada Water Culture Space. For our first night in our new home, Story Jam’s Alys Torrance and Lucy Lill are joined by popular and much-loved London storyteller, Sarah Rundle. We’ll be telling the tales that Canada Water reminds us to tell. The best way to spend election night! Late-coming voters welcome.
Thursday 6 July, 7.30pm: Story Jamboree
