Sean Graham is a dancer, choreographer and theatre-maker, a rising star in the UK performance landscape. From the Windrush to Brexit, this double-bill explores the traumatisation of identity, nationalism and culture caused by fear-based propaganda.
Rivers of Blood, inspired by Enoch Powell’s infamous speech of the same name, uses dance, political soundscape and projection to examine how fear of foreign culture can be deliberately perpetuated. Race Tracks features a full cast of performers wrestling, hurdling, jumping and sprinting their way through a piece about the dynamics of racial politics and cultural frictions.
Followed by a post show talk.
This event is at Canada Water Culture Space.
