For more than 130 years, the Albany has been part of Deptford’s story.  

A home for creativity, community action and social change, the Albany has championed anti-racism, hosted artists from Whoopi Goldberg to Dire Straits, and grown into one of the UK’s most representative arts centres, reflecting the communities it serves.  

To keep playing that role for the next generation, the building needs to evolve. While the Albany continues to thrive, ageing infrastructure, accessibility barriers and rising running costs are making it harder to support the people and communities who rely on it.

We’re at the start of the journey and want local people to help shape what comes next.
