Join us in the Albany garden for the SE8 Summer Fete.
From 1pm to 6pm, we’ll be opening up the garden for a relaxed and welcoming gathering filled with DJs, live performances, delicious food, creative craft activities for all ages, and plenty of space to enjoy the sunshine together.
As part of the Mayor of London's Loved and Wanted initiative, we welcome all families, friends, neighbours, artists, audiences, participants, and supporters of the Albany to spend time together and celebrate our local communities. Whether you’ve been coming to the Albany for years, have recently joined us, or are simply curious to come by and say hello, we welcome you!

Food and Drink
Outside food and drink will not be allowed inside the building. The Albany cafe and bar will be available for purchases during the day.
The Performers
The Majorettes
The Majorettes are a Guinness World Record Holding hula hoop troupe! They hoop, they skate and they do it all over the world. The Majorettes will be hosting a show and hoop workshop for all the family. Learn from the best in our hoop workshop and be dazzled by their multi-hoop skills. The Majorettes create workshops which inspire people to reconnect with their bodies and enjoy fitness. They’ll be teaching you some amazing circus skills too, so you'll have some amazing party tricks to take away.
Sugar and Spice
Meet Sugar and Spice – two alien girls who have crash-landed on Earth from their home, Planet Nice. Their mission is to spread more love, more joy, and a whole lot of girl power. (That’s why their hair is so big – it’s full of world peace!)
Join them and their gang of giant sparkly mascot friends for a jukebox musical packed with singing, dancing, and fun. It’s an energetic performance that will leave audiences smiling long after the confetti has settled.
Laville
Laville is a London-based soul artist who blends classic influences such as Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder with modern funk, house, and jazz. After years performing across leading London venues and Michelin-starred restaurants, he released his debut album, The Wanderer, through Acid Jazz Records, establishing himself as an exciting new voice in UK soul.
He has opened for John Legend, sold out headline shows, and collaborated with The Stone Foundation, Hybrid Minds, Foreign Beggars, and The Brand New Heavies.
Shafire
Shafire is a DJ born and raised in Lewisham with a deep passion for music. Known for her eclectic taste and infectious energy, she loves everything from classic R&B ad-libs and iconic beats to powerful basslines and the lyrical artistry of skilled MCs. Her sets bring together a rich mix of sounds that keep audiences engaged and dancing throughout.
Luudo
Luudo is a Lewisham-based DJ, promoter and proud member of staff at the Albany. He has been active in South London’s nightlife scene for many years, as founder of the party series MOUSETRAP and host of a monthly residency on Love Will Save The Day FM. He has DJ'd at many local venues including Aaja Basement, Venue MOT and Club Cheek, with sets often spanning house, disco, funk and soul. In 2024, he organised a sold-out fundraiser for Palestine at Bermondsey Social Club, reflecting his belief in music and community as a way of bringing people together in support of important causes.
Tizzebra
Marcus Zebra aka Tizzebra is a multidisciplinary artist from the island of Bermuda! Self proclaimed Human Sunshine his moments to watch are his feature in Trampoline by Missy Elliot David Guetta Afrojack Bia and Doechii, A recent feature in the cast of Swampleque UK Tour, A moment in Wig by Todrick Hall, an appearance on the British Apprentice and his favorite credit Donkey in Shrek The Musical! He’s flipped, tricked and split all over stages from NYC, Amersterdam, Guatemala and now for the the first time at Brighton Pride!
Sofeya
Sofeya is an award-winning London-based bellydancer and fusion artist renowned for delivering high-impact, theatrical feature acts on the UK cabaret and luxury corporate circuits. She transforms premium stages with a dynamic blend of elegant choreography, vibrant stage presence, and mesmerising prop mastery.
Do Your Own Thing DJs
Do Your Own Thing DJs including DJ Thunderbolt will play a selection of summer bangers to get everyone dancing!
Do Your Own Thing is a creative arts programme and DJ crew run by our residents Heart n Soul, a charity empowering young people with learning disabilities.
Partners and Funders
The Mayor of London’s Loved and Wanted Community Fund helps to bring different communities together and boost Londoners’ sense of belonging. It offers people opportunities to take part, both locally, and across London. The aim is to build a fairer, more welcoming city for everyone.
The Albany has been awarded funding from the Mayor of London and The National Lottery Community Fund, to bring Loved and Wanted Here events to Deptford over the next two years.
