For three weeks in September and October 2019, Lewisham will become a hive of creative activity for the borough’s first ever Festival of Creative Ageing, celebrating the transformative power of the arts in our lives as we age. We want to showcase and support the talents of older people in Lewisham – and the life-enhancing benefits of creativity.

We are offering grants of up to £2000 to older peoples’ organisations and community groups to be part of the Festival. We want to hear from groups from all over Lewisham, large and small.

Are you interested in getting involved in the Festival, but not sure what sort of project to do?

Come along to our IDEAS-MAKING SESSIONS – fun and creative workshops where you can bounce your ideas with project staff and other participants. We will have our (short and simple) Expression of Interest forms available, and you can fill them in during the session to let us know your idea, or take one away to fill in by 24th January.

More information about the grants is available here: https://www.thealbany.org.uk/jobs/festival-of-creative-ageing-project-grants/

The sessions will take place at the following venues:

Thursday 17 January – Deptford Lounge (9 Giffin St, Deptford SE8 4RJ)

Tuesday 22 January – Green Man (355 Bromley Road, SE6 2RP)

Lewisham’s first Festival of Creative Ageing is co-produced by the Albany, Entelechy Arts and Lewisham Council, working with a range of other key partners.
