We want to improve facilities so we can build on our success and increase the creative energy and partnerships that currently exists.

We aim to use a mixture of refurbishment and new building to create a new Albany with improved performance, production, creative enterprise and community spaces. We have determined that we will preserve the Albany’s iconic main performance space, with upgraded facilities, maintain outside space and deliver a building of the highest environmental standards. The development will include housing on site which will fund a considerable proportion of the Albany’s building costs.

With the full support of Lewisham Council we have worked with BOP Consulting to develop a Business Case for the project.

We have also been working with the award-winning architects, Witherford Watson Mann, to develop a Masterplan for the site.

If you would like to find out more about our plans for the Albany and have your say in how they develop, you are welcome to join us on Monday 24 February 2020 to meet with the CEO and Artistic Director of the Albany, Gavin Barlow, and William Mann from architects, Witherford Watson Mann.

If you can’t make this date, don’t worry, there will be future events and we will be updating the website regularly.
