Much-loved local singer, songwriter, guitarist and Squeeze front-man Glenn Tilbrook headlines An Evening For Ed, a standing fundraising concert in aid of the Ed Renshaw Music Award. The show is Tilbrook’s only solo London show of 2021 and will see him return to his roots in Deptford, where Squeeze originally formed in the 1970s.
Tilbrook will be joined by Kay-La Morgan, Gaby Carberry, Ife Ogunjobi and Johnny Hutchinson, all of whom are aspiring musicians with an array of musical specialisms spanning jazz, folk, electronic and classical.
All funds raised will go directly to the Ed Renshaw Music Award, a charity founded in memory of talented musician Ed Renshaw by his family and friends in 2012. Now in its tenth year, the charity helps young musicians in South East London to achieve their potential through mentoring and financial support.
Be prepared for one good time evening, armed ready with raucous vibes and a shed–load of grin-inducing songs provided by a treasure of South East London and up-and-coming young musicians!
This event will also be fundraising for the Trussell Trust. Lewisham Foodbank will be accepting food or financial donations to support the people of Lewisham.
We are constantly monitoring the government’s COVID-19 guidelines. Should the situation change, the event will be postponed to a later date and bookers will be notified in regards to their options.
