Following on from the sell-out show earlier in the year, Charles Hayward presents another evening of new sounds from the underground and outsider scenes of London and beyond.

Line-up:

Sly & The Family Drone

Expect a frenetic, wild, free jazz cacophony. Sly’s reductionist take on music is literal; they split their drum kit to its singular base units, passing individual drums to the audience who maintain the beat while they free themselves for more noise and freestyle mayhem, ultimately eliminating any boundaries between spectator and performer.

“Their live shows are becoming legendary… a must see live experience. No gig by Sly & The Family Drone is ever the same.” Club Velocity

VÄLVĒ

VÄLVĒ started out as the outlet for composer/performer Chlöe Herington’s compositional work using text and image as the starting point for scores. She collects sounds and diagrams, composing predominantly for bassoon, saxes, electronics and found sounds to explore synaesthetic memory and collective experience.

TIMESTRETCH ALARMSONG

Collaborative project TIMESTRETCH ALARMSONG features  Tom Challenger (Dice Factory/Ma saxophonist), Yoni Silver (multi-instrumentalist with Hyperion Ensemble and many others), Roberto Sassi (Cardosanto/Anatrofobia/Snorkel guitarist), Nick Doyne-Ditmas (double bassist and Hayward collaborator in Monkey Puzzle Trio).

Atatat

Atatat is a drummer, composer and improviser who draws on elements of noise, prog, and free jazz. His album No Breeze in Space, made in collaboration with Ryoko Ono, is a cosmic synthesis of wild improvisation, unintelligible vocals, and tribal rhythms.
