As part of the Albany’s ongoing response to support our community in response to the pandemic, we are proud to announce that next week we will become a food distribution hub – a project spearheaded by local creative and marketing professional, Holly Adomah Thompson.
Thompson and her team of volunteers (who have named themselves Holly’s Angels) will be operating the food distribution hub at the Albany, which will be open to collect donations on Wednesdays from 11am – 2pm.
We will have a socially-distanced system in place in order to accept your donations safely. We ask that when dropping off items, that you please wear a face mask when making donations and observe the social distancing procedures in place. Donations will be collected by the team from inside the venue within a designated area.
We are looking for the following donations:
Non-perishable foods – long-life non-dairy milk (oat, soya, rice), pasta, rice, oats, tinned soup, foods, beans and other pulses, lentils, cereal
Pet food – food pouches for both dogs, cats and smaller household pets, dried biscuits/food, tins of pet food
Pet accessories such as warm beds and blankets
Toys for children – colouring books, small toys, soft toys, board games
Toiletries – deodorant, toilet paper, shower gel, shaving gel, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, tooth paste, hand wipes, children’s toiletries
Household items – laundry liquid detergent, laundry powder, washing up liquid
Feminine products – sanitary towels and tampons
Baby supplies – nappies, baby wipes and baby food
Face masks and hand sanitiser
Please contact Holly at email@example.com if you have any questions, want to find out more or if you’d like to receive a package.
Unfortunately the team won’t be able to distribute curries that were kindly donated from Amrit Maan FRSA of Punjab Restaurant but would like to thank Amrit Maan FRSA for his services and contributions to the food distribution hub.
