We’re so excited to be a part of this yearly festival that provides young people an amazing opportunity to be bold, creative and most importantly – artists. Each year ten new plays are commissioned for young people to perform, bringing together exciting writers and the theatre-makers of tomorrow.

We are proud that we will be hosting eight groups that include Ravenswood School, Lambeth College, Kola Nuts, Ricards Lodge High School, Peake Productions, Union Youth Theatre and Churchhill Theatre Young Company.

Come and experience new, fresh and exciting plays and stories told by bright and talented young people.

The Plays

A series of public apologies (in response to an unfortunate event in the school lavatories)

by John Donnelly

A satirical and piercing interrogation of how our attempts to define ourselves in public are shaped by the fear of saying the wrong thing.

Tuesday

by Alison Carr

An ordinary Tuesday suddenly turns very weird indeed when a tear rips across the sky over the school yard!

The Changing Room

by Chris Bush

Are we teenagers? Are we children? What are we? A lyrical piece about existing on the cusp of growing up.

The Marxist in Heaven

by Hattie Naylor

This upbeat buoyant allegory shines its holy light on globalization and asks the salient questions – who are we and what are we doing to ourselves?…..and what conditioner do you use on your hair?

The IT

by Vivienne Franzmann
Presented in the style of a direct to camera documentary, this is a darkly comic state of the nation play exploring adolescent mental health and the rage within, written very specifically for today.
