In the morning, Kenny will help you write amazing poems, raps and songs.

A one day hip hop garden poetry camp for ages 7 – 11 where young people get to join underground hip-hop hero Kenny Baraka and his gardeners for a day of planting, making, rapping and music.

In the morning, Kenny will help you write amazing poems, raps and songs. The camp day will consist of a poetry/spoken word workshop, gardening activities and the hip-hop garden show, Plot 17!

Enjoy the show, as Kenny and his DJ, work to save the environment one sick track at a time. Maybe even get on stage yourself too!

Tickets are £10 and lunch will be provided at the Albany.

Friends and family are welcome to join at 3.15 to enjoy the show at the end of the day in the Albany garden, at 3-4pm.

Please note that there are two separate camp days and young people can sign up to one of the below days:

Thursday 5 August, 10.45am – 4pm

OR

Friday 6 August, 10.45am – 4pm

Spaces are limited, and priority will be given to young people who are eligible for free school meals and Lewisham Homes Residents

Please email summerarts@thelbany.org.uk for more info or complete this online application form to apply for a space.
