The Albany

Based in the heart of Deptford, the Albany is a performing arts centre with a history stretching back to the nineteenth century.

We want everyone to be able to visit the Albany comfortably and confidently, so we have decided to keep in place certain health and safety measures for the time being.

Limited Capacities

We will continue to limit capacities indoors for our meeting room bookings. Our performances will be at full capacity unless specified.

Face Coverings

We encourage all visitors who are able to do so to wear a face covering in the building. Wearing face coverings helps protect everyone, but in particular our public-facing staff, who without we would not be able to operate smoothly or hold events.

Contactless First

We request that where possible, you pay using a contactless device. E-tickets will continue to be issued as standard and sent to bookers prior. Pre-show emails with relevant information about arrival times will also continue to be sent in advance.

Test and Trace

We are continuing to cooperate with the NHS Track and Trace scheme. For those that would still like to do so, you can download the NHS COVID-19 app and check in once you arrive at the theatre by scanning the QR code. If you are visiting us, please download the EvePass app to make this process easier for yourself. If you are unable to download the app, a member of our team will be able to sign you in. (for more information please see our privacy policy)

Extra Cleaning

We are continuing with our regular cleaning measures throughout the building. Hand sanitiser is also available throughout and upon arrival.

If you have any concerns or questions, please get in touch with our Box Office team on 020 8692 4446 or email reception@thealbany.org.uk.

We present a huge range of shows, events and participation opportunities each year, across art forms and for all ages and tastes.

The Albany has four performance spaces, including its unique central performance space, with a capacity of 300 seated and 500 for standing events. Our other facilities include a café bar, rehearsal and meeting rooms for hire, and office space.

We are a registered charity and a social enterprise, earning 60% of our own income which we reinvest in our programme and building.
