About this project
We offer free recording sessions in our music studio, writing and recording Boot Camps, and a chance to try out new material in front of an audience at our Showcase events. You might even end up at Glastonbury.
REZON8 was created in 2019 by Kieron Morris, who was just 16 years old at the time. Initially, he focused on offering free recording sessions, managing artists and providing them with opportunities within the music industry.
As the community grew, we conducted a survey to better understand the needs of the young people we were working with. The results were eye-opening: nearly 50% of participants had been diagnosed with a mental health condition, and over 90% reported struggling with their mental health without a formal diagnosis. Over 95% said they would use REZON8 as a space to benefit their mental health through music.
We understand that mental health is too often overlooked or misunderstood - that’s why the spaces we create go beyond just making music. They offer young people a safe environment to talk about and explore their mental health, share their experiences, and express how they’ve navigated those challenges through the powerful medium of music.
What is REZON8?
Review
REZON8 is beneficial because I am in an informal and free atmosphere, where I can make music and emphasise my experience through it without being pressured.
