About the event

They are officially "Britain's Funniest Band" (according to the Guardian) and now they’re coming to the Albany with a brand-new work-in-progress show; it’s the one and only Horne Section!

The band have had a busy few years: they toured the UK and Ireland with their hugely successful show The Horne Section’s Hit Show which included two shows at the prestigious London Palladium. For Stand Up to Cancer, they took part in a live-streamed event called the ‘How-Long-Athon’ where they sang the same song for 24 hours. Somehow, they also found time to record series two of their award-winning sitcom The Horne Section TV show.

Five outstanding musicians, one non-musical stand up, there’ll be comedy, songs, enthusiastic dancing and a lot of mucking about. A unique show from the hugely talented band and Alex Horne, the creator and co-host of the BAFTA and National Comedy Award winning Taskmaster.

Age guidance

This event is recommended for ages 12+. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note the event may feature use of strong language.

Reviews

A joyful, high-octane collision of stand-up, musical improvisation and variety… one of the most original and entertaining comedy cabarets you’ll see.

The Guardian

A beguiling blend of the smart and stupid… a real delight.

The Sunday Times

A frivolously funny mash-up of music and mirth.
