Request subsidised rehearsal and movement space for longer periods of time.
About this offer
These spaces are available to support any stage of your project – from exploring an idea, to bringing heads together for an R&D, or rehearsing and finessing the final piece.
We offer this space at a subsidised rate exclusively for our Creative Communities members. Our subsidised space has been used for dance practice, theatre development, singing practice, and research and planning days.
To be able to book subsidised space, you need to complete the following two steps:
- Sign up for a Creative Communities Membership.
- Submit a support request so we can understand more about what your needs are and whether we can help you.
Once your support request has been approved, you'll be sent a link to book a space. If you have any questions or your needs change, please get in touch.
All spaces are bookable in 8-hour time slots. Select your room at the point of booking, subject to availability. By making a booking you are accepting the terms & conditions of use.
Please note:
These spaces will not have any technical facilities or support available.

In order to book subsidised rehearsal and r&d space you must submit a support request and have confirmation from the Albany that your request has been approved. Once you've been approved, we'll send you a link to book a space.

We need to make sure your request fits within the type of support we’re able to provide, and we want to make sure we are offering our space to individuals, organisations, or projects that reflect our mission and values.
We will also ask for your details so that we can report back to our funders on the types of artists and projects we have supported.
Once your support request has been approved, you will be able to book spaces we judge to be suitable for your project. If you have any questions or your needs change please get in touch.
Our subsidised rehearsal spaces have different hire price options which are between £45 and £100 for eight hours of use of the space. Please select the price that feels right to you.

Slots will become available three weeks in advance (subject to availability) and can be booked until one week before the booking date.
Need to book a space further in advance or book a space for a group rehearsal? Get in touch with our Hires Team who can advise on availability and rates. Please note that in this instance our standard hire rates will apply.
We have spaces at both the Albany and Deptford Lounge – make sure you check the venue when booking!
We make our spaces available as often as possible, but availability is subject to other building activities. Occasionally the buildings will be closed on bank holidays and during our annual Christmas closure period.
