Community Fund

The Albany’s work is firmly rooted in the needs of communities in Deptford and Lewisham.

About this fund

Established since the 1970s as a pioneering home for radical community arts, co-creation has long been central to our ethos.

Our award-winning Meet Me… programme brings formerly lonely or isolated older people together to work with artists to learn or rediscover creative skills, make friends and have agency over their social lives; and our thriving Community Garden provides an opportunity to get outdoors, grow food and connect with nature and wildlife.

Our Community Council pays local people to have a voice in programming the events that matter to them; and our Artists of Change programme brings artists and communities closer together to allow everyone an opportunity to explore their creativity.
