CAYA Co-Producers
Our Co-Producers were appointed in 2025, thanks to funding from BBC Children in Need. They meet monthly to share updates, make decisions, and check in on how CAYA is running. This is a paid role, recognising the time, energy and creativity the Co-producers bring.
About
“As Co-Producers, we work with the CAYA team and other staff at the Albany. We help shape the whole process—from planning ideas to making them happen. We build trust, share responsibility, and support each other to lead in ways that work for young people”
Are you interested in becoming a Co-Producer?
We are always keen to hear from young people who want to get involved. All we ask is you attend Come As You Are on Tuesdays semi-regularly and are aged between 14 to 24.
To get involved talk to a member of the CAYA team or email youth.projects@thealbany.org.uk.

Eliana
My name is Eliana, I am 15 years old, and I attend the Albany Youth Programme called Come As You Are. I found out about it from a staff worker who saw my friends and me outside in the cold and invited me in. If I had all the money in the world for the Albany, I would build a pool with a dance machine and maybe install a PS4. I think it’s important to be a co-producer because I can integrate my ideas with my team and help the Albany become a better place.
Nyah
I am 15 years old. Growing up local to The Albany meant I was always aware of the events The Albany ran. As I got older, I started to reconnect with the space partly through my mum’s connection to the workshops she runs here, but I also have taken part in several workshop series, and I did my work experience here.
Wren
My name is Wren and I am 15 years old. I found the Albany through Love2Dance. If I had the money and freedom to build my own youth space, it would have an enclosure for rescued animals, a garden with flower beds and bug hotels, a TV, an arcade, games, graffiti/ spray-painted walls, and tons of comfy sofas with blankets. Being a CAYA producer means giving to my community and collaborating with other people for the benefit of young people. My favorite part about being a CAYA co-producer is the accepting and encouraging environment that allows people to share their thoughts and ideas.
