The pieces being shared are:

Putting the Fun in Funeral by Michael Ansley
Dexter and Beatrice are brother and sister who, while waiting for their family at their Granny’s funeral, discuss individuality, grieving methods and their weird childhood.

Just in Case by Gabrielle Osei Amponsah
Kevin is a young man caught between loyalty and survival after his best friend’s death. Through raw storytelling, spoken word, and flashes from the past, the play explores identity, injustice and the unseen struggles of South London’s youth.

Only You, Forever by Jeremiah Tayler
A romantic drama centred around a fledgling couple in their new home. Without their parents’ blessings, they comfort one another with an abundance of love. Nevertheless, while many uncertain promises lay between William and Rosa, an unexpected phone call threatens to dismantle their life together, before it’s had a chance to take off.

Sofrito by Ayesha Shingruf and Tomilyn Rupert
A tender portrait of familial loss. It follows a dialogue between an adult child and their mother as they each wrestle with grief, and work to live with the absences brought on in their lives.

And the Parrot Said by Iain Prest
At a dinner party, one guest is missing and their absence leads to the fraying of relationships. Dark undercurrents come to light and the question of what’s for dinner takes on unforeseen importance.

The Great Pies of Denby Dale by Bryn Walker and Megan Farquhar

Dot and George, two strangers and timeless pie makers, saw the early glimmers of pie, then saw everything else in the humble pie’s long and epic history. But what now? Well turns out a little village in Yorkshire called Denby Dale might be their answer. This is a village that will dare to dream big – but will it bring the community together, or tear it apart?
