What a year it has been for the Albany! From delivering Lewisham London Borough of Culture, bringing sixteen tonnes of sand into our theatre, to getting spacey for our festive show run. So much has taken place within all three sites and across the borough and we have enjoyed every second of it. We cannot wait to reopen our doors to deliver our Spring 2023 programme. For now, here are our closure dates for all three of our venues…
the Albany
The Albany will open to the public on Monday 9 January 2023 from 9am. For now, our pop-up Box Office can be found in Beckenham Place Park during the run of ‘The Wing Scuffle Spectacular’, ending on Sunday 8 January. Our phone lines will be closed, but you can leave a voicemail message for the circus Box Office team or email reception@thealbany.org.uk if you have any questions regarding your booking.
Canada Water Theatre
Our building will be closed from Saturday 24 December at 1pm, and the library will open on Wednesday 28 December. The library and building will close again on Sunday 1 and Monday 2 January, before reopening to the public as normal on Tuesday 3 January 2023.
Deptford Lounge
Our building will be closed on Saturday 24, Monday 26 & Tuesday 27 December, and also close at 1pm on Saturday 31 December. The Lounge will then stay closed until Monday 2 January; the building will then be open as usual from Tuesday 3 January.
