Following the further easing of restrictions, the health and safety of visitors, staff and artists remains our priority. We want everyone to be able to visit the Albany comfortably and confidently, however with levels of Covid rising rapidly in Lewisham and across the country, we have decided to keep in place certain social distancing measures until at least the end of August, at which point we will review these again.
Limited Capacities
We will continue to limit capacities indoors and maintain a 1m+ social distance during performances. A one-way system will also remain in place in public areas and in performance spaces for audiences. Room booking numbers will also remain limited according to room size.
Face Coverings
We ask that all visitors able to do so wear a face covering in the building. Wearing face coverings helps protect everyone, but in particular our public-facing staff, without which we would not be able to operate smoothly or hold events. Protective screens will remain in place in our box office and bars.
Contactless First
We request that where possible, you pay using a contactless device. E-tickets will continue to be issued as standard and sent to bookers prior. Pre-show emails with relevant information about arrival times will also continue to be sent in advance.
Test and Trace
We will continue to cooperate with the NHS Test and Trace scheme, when arriving for a performance or event you will be asked to scan the QR code upon arrival.
Extra Cleaning
We are continuing with our regular cleaning measures throughout the building. Hand sanitiser is also available throughout and upon arrival.
We will soon be announcing more details of our Autumn programme and plans, however you can still join us for Summer in the Garden and we’ve plenty of ways you can get involved. Our Foyer and Garden are currently open from 10am – 2pm Monday to Friday and our café remains closed until further notice.
