In autumn 2018 she presented Dennis of Penge at the Albany,  a spoken word and music gig co-commissioned by the Albany and Ovalhouse. Dennis of Penge is an urgent, compassionate and ecstatic tale set in Annie’s childhood ends of Penge – it’s about poverty, addiction, friendship, ecstasy, chicken, love and SE20.

Annie Siddons’ work is hilarious, brutal, honest and poetic, embracing the mythic and the mundane, sitting somewhere in the intersection between comedy, theatre, spoken word and live art. Music and narrative are always central.
