Alongside performing her own work in the theatre,  ESKA has worked as an artist facilitator across the Albany’s Creative Programmes including the young people’s programme and elder’s programme Meet Me at the Albany.

The Zimbabwean born, SE-London raised performance artist, composer and producer is a creative force to be reckoned with.  ESKA’s list of collaborations over the course of her career is as bravely diverse as her music itself; Grace Jones, Zero 7, James Lavelle’s UNKLE, Tony Allen and fashion designer Rick Owens, to name a few!  ESKA has wowed crowds everywhere from Glastonbury Festival to London’s Roundhouse.  With credits on over 150 released titles, including contributions to 3 Mercury-nominated albums, her eponymous debut was subsequently nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2015.

ESKA was recently appointed as one of 18 of Sound and Music’s New Voices which will support with her artistic development over the next 18 months in which she will be releasing her sophomore album alongside international touring.

An artist continually striving to break new ground, ESKA is further developing her compositional practice across art-forms through an RnD opportunity offered with the Royal Opera House as one of only 3 UK composers being commissioned for a new opera development this year.  Alongside ROH, Albany are producing partners for this initial RnD phase of Woman and Machine – a creative response to 3 months spent in King’s College Hospital neo-natal unit with her daughter Wonder, who has born just after 26 weeks.
